The “in person” registration fee includes: 

  • Attendance to all conference sessions (3.5 days)
  • Morning and afternoon coffee breaks 
  • Lunches (3) 
  • Access to the exhibit hall & virtual poster sessions 
  • Access to conference platform and all virtual content  


The “online” registration fee includes :  

 Access to the conference platform: 

  • Remote participation to all hybrid sessions 
  • Access to virtual poster sessions  
  • Access to the Exhibitor Hall (as virtual items are available) 


Registration fees must be paid in full to gain access to the conference.

Visa request information : travelling to Canada

Since processing times for obtaining a Canadian visa are up to 200 days for some countries, we are no longer able to provide a letter of invitation to anyone from a country with this length of processing time. We are strongly encouraging you to register to participate virtually.

Creating a rewarding conferencing experience for both attendees joining physically in Montréal and those joining virtually is thus important to us !


Visitors entering Canada will be required to present a valid passport and, in some cases, a visa. Canada has also introduced a new requirement, known as the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), for entry for some international travelers flying to Canada. All visitors must ensure that they have all the necessary documents in their possession before entering the country.
To check and find out all the requirements for travelling to Canada from your place of residence, please visit Immigration and Citizenship Canada.

If you need a visa to enter in Canada, we strongly encourage you start the procedure right now as processing times can be very long.
Please register to the conference and say “Yes” to the question “Do you need a letter of support for your visa application to come to Canada?”
We will then provide you with the letter as well as a code that has to be used for your visa request once the registration form and payment have been received and validated by the Conference Secretariat at af2023@jpdl.com.

General Information

Methods of payment

Payment is accepted by credit card only (Visa, MasterCard).

Cancellation and refund policy - In person

All cancellations must be communicated in writing to the AF2023 Congress Secretariat at af2023@jpdl.com.

  • Until July 30, 2023: a cancellation fee of $ 100 CAD will be applied.
  • From August 1 to September 17, 2023: a 50% cancellation fee will be applied.
  • From September 18, 2023: no refund will be accepted.

All refunds will be made within 1 month after the end of the event.


Failure to obtain a visa

In the event of non-obtainment of a visa, 100% of the registration fee will be reimbursed, less an administrative fee of $100 CAD. The participant must make a written request and attach proof of non-obtainment of the visa by September 18, 2023.

No refunds will be accepted after September 18, 2023.


”A la carte” Activities 

AF 2023 reserves the right to cancel an ”à la carte” activity if the number of participants is insufficient, and will reimburse the activity fee in the event of cancellation.


Transfer of registration

Registrations are transferable without additional fees until September 11, 2023. All requests for changes must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat at af2023@jpdl.com.

Cancellation and refund policy - Virtual

No refunds will be granted for cancellations. As this is a virtual event you will be available to view all hybrid session content subsequently, therefore there are no refunds.

Transfer of registration

Registrations are not transferable.
