Rise-up: Partnering for social change in the era of adaptation
Time to innovate: Adapting Together
As the effects of climate change intensify across the world, we cannot simply replicate solutions from the past. The new climate reality compels us to intensify our risk reduction efforts, change our practices, update our inadequate public policies, and increase finance for climate change adaptation. Together, we must innovate to secure a resilient future.
This is precisely what Adaptation Futures aims to achieve: by mobilizing all actors in the global climate change adaptation community, we will facilitate knowledge exchange and co-creation among researchers, decision-makers, practitioners, industry representatives, and communicators.
It is an honor to welcome you to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, for the 7th edition of Adaptation Futures. During these five days, comprised of nearly 180 sessions, we will have the opportunity to share ideas, experiences, and innovative solutions for confronting the climate crisis and preparing for its impacts. Coming from more than 120 countries, together, we can help build a future where resilience and adaptation are at the core of our actions.
We wish you all a fruitful and inspiring conference and thank you for joining our efforts to help shape the future of adaptation.
